Khushab Customs Intelligence impounds misceleanous items worth Rs 0.275m

FAISALABAD: The Custom Intelligence and Investigations Field Investigation Unit (FIU) Khushab confiscated miscellaneous items old and used seven cylinder patrol engines and super tiger wielding electrodes 43 carton, 950 kilograms AM brand alloy rim, black series 248.2 kilograms and lead pencil nine cartons, 150 kilograms.

Sources told Customs Today that Deputy Director Customs Intelligence Faisalabad Riaz Hussain received information about some smuggling attempts.

He immediately constituted a raiding party comprising Senior Intelligence Officers Mohammad Ilyas, Farzand Ali, Bashir Hussain, Khalid Ahmed, Muhammad Ashraf Sajjad Ahmed Muhammad Anwar (sepoys) and Muhammad Shahbaz (driver).

The FIU team of Khushab customs intercepted a bus bearing registration No. SGO-8888 which was coming from Peshawar to Multan near Kotla Jam Bhakkar and seized the smuggled goods.

The FIU team asked accused persons who was identified as Abdul Hamid Khan son of Mir Sahib Khan who is a resident of Lakki Marwat to produce legal documents regarding possession of above said items but they failed to provide the same.

After their failure FIU team seized the item and registered a case of smuggling against the owner of the goods.
