Khushab FIU impounds non-duty paid Toyota Corolla Car

FAISALABAD: The Field Investigation Unit (FIU) of the Customs Intelligence and Investigation, Khushab has seized a non-duty paid Toyota Corolla Car, model 1993 bearing registration No. AAM-350 (Quetta) worth Rs1 million involving customs-duty and taxes Rs750,000.

Sources told Customs Today that Deputy Director Riaz Hussain received information regarding some smuggled attempts. On this he constituted a team comprising Chaudhry Saeed Hayat, Muhammad Saleem and Muhammad Ilyas (IO) and sepoys, Masood Iqbal, Muhammad Shehbaz, Musadiq Ahmad, Muhammad Ashraf, Muzamil Hussain and Muhammad Anwar.

The Customs team intercepted the vehicle near Musa khail Chowk district Mainwali. The Customs team asked the driver of the vehicle Namely Muhammad Saqibur Rehman son of Muhammad Shafiqur Rehman residential Fawara Chowk Ganj Qadeem, Abbotabad to produce legal documents regarding possession of vehicle but he failed to provide any relevant documents. The team seized the vehicle and forwarded the case to customs adjudication.
