Khuzdar Customs foils bid to smuggle goods worth Rs185.2m

QUETTA: Collectorate of Customs Enforcement with the assistance from local police thwarted two attempts to smuggle betel nuts, solar plates, cigarettes. Total value of both seizures comes to Rs185.2 million in international market.

Sources told Customs Today that during the night of 15.11.2023, anti-smuggling squad of Customs Khurkhera and Surab under active supervision and monitoring of Additional Collector Sajid Ali Baloch and led by Deputy Collector Rana Umair Arshad conducted huge raids.

It is necessary to mention here that Collector Abdul Qadir Memon has directed all anti-smuggling squads to adopt zero tolerance policy against smuggling. He further directed that anyone who found involved in smuggling should be dealt as per law.
