Khuzdar Enforcement recovers smuggled goods worth Rs10m

KHUZDAR: Collectorate of Customs Enforcement recovered smuggled goods worth Rs10 million during two Intelligence Based Operations (IBOs) conducted during the wee hours on 13.10.2023 near customs check post Surab. The combine value of both seizures is around Rs10 million.

Sources told Customs Today that Collector Imran Bokhari received credible information regarding smuggling attempts. He immediately directed all anti-smuggling squads to enhance vigilance and patrolling on the suspected routes.

Customs team deputed at customs check post Surab intercepted a passenger bus and during checking recovered 200 sticks of cigarettes and 12 tons of betel nuts.

During another operation customs anti-smuggling squad recovered 150 bags of sugar (7500 kilograms) which was tactfully hidden in the secret parts of the vehicle. The vehicle was heading towards Kharan from Quetta.

It is necessary to mention here that Collector Imran Bokhari directed all anti-smuggling squads to enhance and patrolling and monitor movement of suspected vehicles in the jurisdiction.
