Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police unveils traffic updates SMS service to facilitate public

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police has introduced an SMS service for getting updates about traffic from the Traffic Control to enable the public to get traffic updates immediately by just sending an SMS to 8333.

The service has been developed keeping in view the fact that people face difficulties while using the road with respect to traffic. It would enable the general public to get traffic updates immediately.

The SMS Alert system was prepared by Syed Shahzad and Faizullah, students of Peshawar, who have voluntarily prepared this system to facilitate the public. Anyone who would type PT and send it to 8333 from any network would receive update about the traffic situation in Peshawar city.
