KARACHI: The Karachi International Containers Terminal (KICT) made a great record in 2015, as it had handled the one million containers in the year.
The performance of the KICT was hailed here in a ceremony where Rare Admiral Farukh Ahmed and Port Trust Commander Karachi vice chairman said that the economy of the country will gain momentum by the improved performance of the KICT.
They said that we the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor project and Gwadar Port project will prove milestone for economical development, adding that ports of the country played vital role in the economy.
On this ocean, Hutchison Port Holdings Limited Member Andy Tassoiey said that the KICT handled ten million containers in ten years and also made record by handling one million containers in a year, 2015.
