King Abdullah Customs intercepts attempt to smuggle over 138 kg of cocaine

RIYADH: King Abdullah’s King Abdullah Economic City in Rabigh achieved a remarkable success by thwarting an attempt to smuggle a large quantity of “cocaine” amounting to 138,957 hundred and thirty-eight kilograms, which was found hidden in a consignment received for Customs.

Mohammed Al-Mehmadi, General Manager of King Abdullah Customs said: “Frozen chicken” was delivered to the Customs in refrigerated containers. During Customs Customs procedures, the Customs Controller was able to detect and thwart the attempt to smuggle that quantity of cocaine. In which a technique was used to disguise customs officials. The thwarted attempt was the second in less than 10 days, with customs blocking last weekend trying to smuggle a large quantity of cocaine of more than 67 kg, hidden in a similar mission to the mission.
