Kirloskar brothers Ltd launches magnetic drive pump in Germany

BERLIN: Pune-based pumps maker Kirloskar Brothers Ltd (KBL) has launched the technologically advanced Romak (RMK) at an event for the chemical process industry in Frankfurt, Germany.

The RMK is a magnetic drive pump comprising permanent magnets and is used by process industries to handle various types of clear/ clean chemical liquids without any suspended particles.

With a size ranging from 32mm to 100mm, the pump has a discharge capacity of up to 300 m3/hr, and can handle temperatures from -50°C to +180°C. The design aids interchangeability of components among different pump sizes. The design will have a total of 22 models.

In a statement, Varinder Dhoot, Managing Director, Kirloskar Pompen B V said, “The product caters to the process industry and has ensured the best standards in terms of efficiency as well as lasting operations. The launch has helped us take our design to an international platform and thus reinforce our capacities to go global with yet another technologically advanced product.”
