Kohat Auction Cell gets Rs240000 thru auction during 15 days of June

KOHAT: The Kohat Auction Cell earned Rs240000 of all duty taxes through auction of various types of confiscated smuggled goods during initial 15 days of June’s Financial Year (FY) 2016-17.

The auction cell collected Rs0.02million of Customs Duty (CD) which was applied to confiscated items sold in the auction while the auction cell received Rs0.04million of Sales Tax (ST) and it generated Rs0.02million of Additional Income Tax (AIT).

The Kohat Auction Cell got Rs0.14million of miscellaneous duty surcharges during 1st to 15th of May FY16-17. The same auction cell earned Rs10.31million all duty taxes through auction of various kinds of confiscated smuggled goods and Non-Duty-Paid (NDP) vehicles during initial 15 days of May’s Financial Year (FY) 2016-17.
The cell held its first auction of confiscated smuggled goods and NDP vehicles during May FY16-17. The auction cell collected Rs07.08 million of CD applied to seized items sold in auction whereas the auction cell received Rs1.93million of ST and auction cell did Rs1.30million of AIT during 1st to 15th of May FY16-17.
Telling the details of revenue collection by part of Auction cell Kohat during April FY2016-17, the sources said the Kohat Auction Cell generated Rs16.85million of all taxes during the month of April 2016-17 through auction of impounded vehicles and smuggled goods.
The auction cell earned Rs13.21million of miscellaneous duty taxes and surcharges while it got Rs2.08million of Sales Tax applied to confiscated vehicles and goods. The auction cell collected Rs1.13million of Additional Income Tax while the Kohat did Rs0.42million of Federal Excise Duty during April FY2016-17.
