Kohat Customs gets Rs435m by auctioning off impounded vehicles & goods during 2016-17

KOHAT: The Customs State Ware House (SWH) Kohat earned Rs435.00million of All Duty and Taxes applied to the impounded vehicles and smuggled goods during Financial Year FY2016-17 by holding auctions of impounded smuggled goods and Non-Duty-Paid (NDP) vehicles.

According to details told by sources of Customs Station Kohat, the performance of the SWH Kohat has been satisfactory during FY2016-17. During above said period, the SWH Kohat received Rs48.44million of Customs Duty (CD) while SWH did Rs6.06million of miscellaneous taxes.
During FY16-17, SWH generated Rs5.34million of Redemption Duty (RD) on Imports and Rs5.74million Extra Development Surcharge (EDS Pak). The SWH got Rs36.25million of EDS F.E. During said period, the SWH earned Rs65.09million of Sales Tax (ST).
During FY16-17, the SWH received Rs10.05million of ST on Imports, Rs91.77million of Additional Income Tax (AIT) and Rs166.29million of AIT.
