KP finance minister lauds SRSP for sensitising rural communities

PESHAWAR: Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Finance Muzaffar Said, while lauding the services of Sarhad Rural Support Programme, has said that the project staff shall continue their efforts for reducing poverty.

He said this while talking to a representative delegation of SRSP, who called on him at Timergara in Lower Dir. He added that SRSP was sensitized the rural communities for sustainable development through its multi-sectors developmental program. The delegation discussed with minister, matters pertaining to the ongoing developmental projects, which runs with the participation of the community in the district and also informed him regarding some issues related to employees of the project.

On this occasion, while assuring for the possible solution of SRSP staff problems, the minister said, that the same project has achieved certain goals in its program of sustainable development of rural communities, livelihood, and reduction of poverty by declaring it a main goal of the project mission.

The minister further said that the efforts of SRSP for human resource and community physical infrastructure development were not forgettable and the same concept should be maintained in future as to achieve the objectives of rural prosperity and development in letter and spirit.
