KP govt allocates Rs 250m for Dotara Dam

RAWALPINDI: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has allocated over Rs250 million for the construction of Dotarra Dam in Jabri area of Haripur.

Sources said that the carryover dam upstream of the Khanpur Dam was aimed at producing 200 kilowatts of electricity besides supplying 25 million gallons of water to the twin cities daily. The project is expected to be completed by September 2018. “In 2014, the WAPDA had envisioned the scheme,” the sources elaborated.
