He said Rs. 42 billion has been allocated in the budget for local bodies’ government due to which the leaders of tripartite alliance in KP have become more active against LG system, adding that the members of tripartite alliance are status conscious and against the devolution of powers at lower level.

He said the leaders of tripartite alliance are not against the Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) rather they are against the people friendly policies of PTI in the province because they did not deliver to masses during their term of government.

He said the KP government has drafted such a local bodies’ system that would resolve the issues of masses at their doorstep.

The KP government is moving ahead in right direction and all the decisions are being taken fairly and on merit, the minister said and added that due representation have been given to youth in local bodies’ system.

He said the volume of the Annual Development Programme (ADP) has increased to Rs. 170 billion and a considerable relief has also been ensured for government servants and pensioners in the budget.

Musthaq said that the up-gradation of low scale government employees and 10 per cent increase in salaries and allowances would put an extra burden of Rs. 20 billion on the government despite that the KP government provided relief to masses
