KP NAB distributes cheques among fraud victims

PESHAWAR: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Director General Brig (r) Farooq Naser Awan distributed cheques amounting to Rs 4.709 Million among seven victims of fraudulent schemes, in a ceremony held at NAB Khyber Pakhtunkhwa offices.

According to details, several complaints were received at the bureau against Amjad Ali Khan & others alleging defraudment of the public at large. NAB Khyber Pakhtunkhwa authorities taking cognisance of the complaints authorised an inquiry to ascertain the real facts, the bureau stated.

During the course of inquiry, it was revealed that the accused, Amjad Ali Khan, along-with his associates, enticed and motivated general public through falsely attractive advertisements to invest money in fraudulent housing scheme Zohaib Garden at Jail Road Mardan.

Furthermore, they also lured people to invest in fake companies by the name of Rifah & Zohaib Associates and Sohaib Commercial Tower Mall Road Mardan.

NAB Khyber Pakhtunkhwa director general assured general public that the institution will continue its efforts without any fear, ensure the recovery of looted money from culprits and its return to rightful owners.
