KP NAB orders several inquiries

PESHAWAR: The National Accountability Bureau, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has authorised a number of inquiries.

NAB KP Director General Farmanullah Khan chaired the regional board meeting, which took the decisions. Directors, deputy prosecutor general (DPGA), case officers and others attended the meeting, said a press release.

The board authorised an inquiry against employees of the Tourism Corporation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and others about alleged corruption and corrupt practices. The board also authorised an inquiry against district education officer (female) Dera Ismail Khan and others about alleged corruption and illegal appointments, for allegedly making illegal appointments.

It authorised another inquiry against administrative officer, Tehsil Municipal Administration Nowshera, for allegedly doing illegal appointments in gross violation of laws and illegal tax contracts.

The board also approved filling of a supplementary reference against accused Umar Hayat, senior auditor, district account office in Shangla, about alleged accumulation of illegal assets beyond known sources of income.
