KPCCI to form Islamic Banking Committee to provide loans to traders

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chamber of Commerce and Industries (KPCCI) President Faud Ishaq has announced to constitute Islamic Banking Committee and said that Islamic Banking Committee will provide free interest loan facilities according to the Islamic education to the business community of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

This he said in a seminar regarding Islamic Banking and Takful at KPCCI chamber. Faud Ishaq expressed satisfaction over the growth of 30 to 40 % ratio in Islamic Banking in Pakistan over the past six years, adding that as the State Bank of Pakistan is serious about the growth ratio of Islamic Banking, therefore in 2020 the Islamic Banking share will be exceed around 20% in Pakistan.

He also lashed out the statement that commercial banking declare Khyber Pakhtunkhwa a red zone and said that Islamic Banking should play their role and give Khyber Pakhtunkhwa an economic zone and provide interest free loan to the business community of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

On the occasion PFCCI and Islamic Banking and Takaful chairman Muhammad Arshid appreciated the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province role in the national economy, adding and appreciating the sacrifices of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa people in the war against terror.

He said that FPCCI will jointly work with standing committee of Islamic Banking to promote Islamic Banking system in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, adding that without free interest loan Pakistan will achieve the goal of development.

On this occasion senior vice president KPCCI Engineer Maqsood Anwar, vice president KPCCI Iqbal Khan Afridi and many other officials of the banking sectors participated and highlighted the importance of Islamic Banking.
