PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Revenue Authority (KPRA) has achieved a 30 percent increase in Sales Tax on Services collection during the first half of fiscal year 2025-26, collecting Rs23.26 billion between July and December, up from Rs17.92 billion in the same period last year.
This marks a growth of Rs5.34 billion, reflecting improved service-sector tax compliance across the province. KPRA’s total revenue for the first six months reached Rs26.62 billion, which includes Rs3.36 billion from the Infrastructure Development Cess (IDC). In comparison, total collections during the corresponding period last year stood at Rs23.81 billion, with Rs5.89 billion from IDC.
Director General KPRA, Fouzia Iqbal, lauded the performance of the Authority’s staff, attributing the growth to strategic planning, effective enforcement, and institutional commitment. “The significant rise in Sales Tax on Services demonstrates the hard work and dedication of the KPRA team,” she said, adding that consistent focus and strategic initiatives position the Authority well to meet its annual revenue targets.
She also thanked taxpayers for their cooperation and trust, highlighting their role in KPRA’s success. DG Iqbal acknowledged the guidance of Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi and Advisor to the Chief Minister on Finance, Muzzammil Aslam, noting that their leadership has been instrumental in driving reforms and strengthening revenue mobilization.
