KPT starts efforts to recover land worth billions of rupees from land grabbers

KARACHI: The administration of the Karachi Port Trust (KPT) has started efforts to recover its land worth billions of rupees.

According to the details, the administration has constituted a team which is preparing a comprehensive plan to recover its land which has been occupied by land grabbers for many years.

On the instructions of the higher authorities, the KPT, through an advertisement has warned land grabbers to withdraw from the land as soon as possible.

It is worth mentioning that China Creek, Muhammadi Colony, Gulshan Colony, Sikanderabad, Hijrat Colony, Majeed Colony, Younasabad, Docks Colony, Machar Colony, NTR Colony as well as Intelligence colony has been declared the property of Karachi Port Trust (KPT) by the administration.

The authorities of Karachi Port Trust (KPT) have asked the land grabbers to leave the property of the organization within fifteen day after which an action will be taken according to the rules and regulation to evacuate the land.

Failing compliance after fifteen days from publication of the notice we reserve the right to demolish / dismantle buildings and structures standing thereon apart from taking adverse action against land grabbers / encroaches and their facilitators at their risk, cost and consequences without further reference or notice, stated In the notice issued by the Karachi Port Trust (KPT)authorities.
