KSE loses early gains; stays at 32007pts

KARACHI: Though Karachi Stock Exchange lost most of early gains, it remained above 32,000 mark and the benchmark sustained 7.70 point or 0.02 percent to stay at 32007.71 points till midday trading on Friday.

Earlier, stocks continued moving upward in a confident manner and KSE 100-index gained 129.25 points or 0.40 percent to reach 32,129 points in early trading. The market opened at yesterday’s closing of 32,000 points and kept on upward march, boosting confidence of the investors and kept the score tally ticking. Experts and analysts are optimistic that the buoyancy would continue keeping various factors in view, especially the falling crude world prices.

They hoped that the benchmark 100-index would be able to cross the new high of 33,000 points.

It is to be noted that the market remained bullish throughout the week and witnessed buoyant trading with addition gains of 249.63 points and closed at 32000 points level on Wednesday.

The All-Share Index gains 162.58 points and concluded end of day at 23273.26 points, KSE-30 Index increased by 187.86 points and settled at 20830.07 points while KMI-30 Index rose by 136.14 points and reached at 50878.13 points level. ­Higher and low were 32019.45 and 31750.38 correspondingly.
