KSE sees fluctuation as 100-index sheds 180pts to drop to 33659 level

KARACHI: The Karachi Stock Exchange Thursday recorded fluctuation in trading but remained in red zone as 100-index dipped -0.53 per cent, shedding 179.82 points to drop to 33659.46 level till midday.

The stocks witnessed highest level of trading at 33885.94 points and lowest level of 33619.82 points, with the total volume of 58,976,400 shares, having Rs4,151,027,188 value.

The top three traded companies were Byco Petroleum, K-Electric Ltd and TRG Pak Ltd. Byco Petroleum topped the trading companies with a volume of 18,226,000 and price per share of 13.25 (0.83). K-Electric Ltd, despite reducing share price, remained second top trading company with a volume of 7,480,000 and price per share of 7.69 -0.07) and TRG Pak Ltd with a volume 7,198,000 of price per share of 19.40 (0.51).

On Wednesday KSE benchmark 100-index gained 305.64 points or 0.91 percent to reach 33839.28 points and volume of 155,433,960 shares.
