KARACHI: Karachi Tax Bar Association (KTBA) has requested the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to extend the date of e-filing the monthly statements for the month of October 2017 under section 165 of the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001 till November 22, 2017.

In a letter sent to the chairman FBR, KTBA stated that the members of the association were facing severe problems in e-filing the monthly statements for the month of October 2017 under section 165 of the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001 which was due on November 15, 2017, following malfunctioning of IRIS system. It further said that they were not even in a position to apply for extension of the same on IRIS system due to its slow working, raising disenchantment among the members.
