KUWAIT: Two Asian smugglers were arrested in possession of 564 bottles of locally brewed liquor and three barrels of liquor.
According to security sources, Capital securitymen were patrolling Kuwait City based on instructions from the Capital Security Director Major General Ibrahim Al-Tarrah when they noticed two individuals standing behind a number of parked vehicles. As securitymen approached them, they tried to flee but securitymen managed to arrest them. They found 564 bottles of locally brewed liquor and three barrels of liquor in their possession. When questioned, the suspects confessed that they produced the liquor and were planning to sell them to their clients. They were arrested and referred with the confiscated liquor bottles and barrels to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action against them.
