KUWAIT CITY: As part of the continuous efforts and strategies of the Interior Ministry to track down smugglers, the Ahmadi Security Directorate recently conducted an inspection campaign under the supervision of acting Director Brigadier Ali Mohammad Al-Marri.
In a press statement, the ministry revealed the campaign led to the arrest of two Koreans who threw a bag containing five bottles of locally- made liquor immediately after seeing police. They tried to escape and entered a building where the police found them. When police searched the building, they found 760 bottles and 12 barrels full of liquor, eight gas cylinders, four bags of sugar and 27 yeast refills. The two suspects were referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal measures.
