KUWAIT: Director General of the Weapons Detectives Department said the department’s men arrested a citizen trading in unlicensed weapons red-handed as he sold a pistol to an undercover agent. He attempted to escape and hit the detectives’ patrol cars. He had two pistols and 50 rounds of ammunition.
Maj Gen Faraj Al-Zubi said the arrest proves the seriousness of weapons detectives to arrest violators of the weapons law, and this comes as the grace period to hand over the weapons nears its end on June 22. He said the suspect did not benefit from the grace by violating the law and trading in weapons.
