KUWAIT CITY: Five Asian smugglers were arrested for producing liquor inside a flat in Mangaf area. According to security sources, when Ahmadi police officers received information about a gang of expatriates who converted a residential flat into a factory for brewing liquor, a team was formed for carrying out investigations.
After observing the flat, confirming the information and obtaining a warrant from the Public Prosecution, securitymen raided the flat and arrested the five suspects in possession of 30 barrels of liquor and 250 liquor bottles. The suspects were referred with the confiscated illicit items to the concerned authorities for necessary legal measures against them.
