KUWAIT CITY: Kuwaiti customs arrested an Egyptian man who tried to smuggle nearly 30,000 tramadol pills by hiding them in a plastic belt wrapped around his body here the other day.
A customs official at Kuwait’s international airport suspected the passenger arriving in the oil-rich emirate when he noticed bulges under his shirt.
“The passenger was taken to a private room and subjected to a search. Customs found a plastic belt wrapped around his body and containing nearly 30,000 tramadol tablets,” officials said.
