KUWAIT CITY: Shuwaikh Port Customs officers foiled an attempt to smuggle 3,500 bottles of imported wine from a GCC country.
Sources disclosed the Customs records showed the contents of the shipment were bottles of shampoo but when the officers checked the items, they discovered the bottles of wine. Sources confirmed the agent, who was waiting to receive the goods, was arrested and referred to the concerned security department for the necessary legal action.
