KUWAIT CITY: Customs officers at Doha Port arrested an Iranian expatriate who tried to smuggle medical equipment belonging to the Ministry of Health valued at millions of dinars by boat to Iran.
The officers led by supervisor Khalid Al-Failakawi suspected the cargo after completing documentation to export some goods. They went ahead to check the goods and discover equipment for sonar and x-ray plus kidney dialysis machines and specula, in addition to surgical materials which were not permitted to be taken out of the country.
