KUWAIT CITY: The Kuwaiti Customs at Shuwaikh Port confiscated 19,000 bottles of ‘Black Label’ liquor along with 14, 400 cans of Henkel beer and a table and items used for gambling. All these things were found in a 40-feet wide container that arrived at Shuwaikh Port from China.
According to a source, customs officers discovered the contraband while checking some containers that arrived from China.
An individual who was waiting to receive the consignment was arrested and referred to the concerned authorities for investigations.
In a press release, Director General of General Customs Department Khalid Al- Saif said the department has distributed customs officers and inspectors in all checkpoints of land, air and sea ports to hinder any attempts to smuggle illegal items into the country.
