Kuwait DGDC seizes contraband 300grams meth, 50 narcotic pills, 1kg hashish

KUWAIT CITY: A Kuwaiti citizen and an unidentified expatriate were arrested in possession of one kilogram of hashish, 300 grams of methamphetamine, 50 narcotic pills, one gram of heroin and one gram of marijuana.

According to a press statement issued by Ministry of Interior here the other day, when the Directorate General for Drug Control received information from a source about an expatriate involved in drug peddling, a team was formed for investigations. After confirming the information and obtaining a warrant, the team raided the suspect’s residence and found one kilogram of hashish, 50 grams of methamphetamine and 50 narcotic pills. They arrested the suspect and he confessed that he obtained the drugs from a Kuwaiti citizen who is also involved in drug peddling. They arrested the citizen and raided his house to find 250 grams of methamphetamine, two pieces of hashish, one gram of heroin and one gram of marijuana. Both suspects were referred with the drugs to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action against them.
