KUWAIT CITY: Director General of the Public Relations and Security Media Department at the Interior Ministry Brigadier Adel Al- Hashash has emphasized on the importance of intensifying awareness campaigns against the spread of the scourge of drugs among all groups of society, reports Al-Anba daily.
Al-Hashash, during participation in a campaign against drugs in schools organized by the Al-Anba daily, said the security authority plays an active role in coordination and cooperation with the international community and the Arab media to fight drugs and international crime.
Al-Hashash stressed that the control and awareness strategy adopted by the Ministry of Interior has resulted in achieving several successes. To mention a few he said, 107 cases of smuggling and trafficking were registered from July 1, 2017 to Sept 30, 2017. In other words within 3 months the security authorities had seized 13 kilos of heroin and 2,300,000 narcotic tablets and 15 kg of shabu.
