Kuwait police seize 200 bottles of bootleg liquor

KUWAIT CITY: An Indian smuggler was arrested for running an illegal liquor factory inside a villa in Egaila area. According to security source, when Ahmadi Security Director Brigadier Abdullah Safa received information from sources about an Indian expatriate running an illegal liquor business, he formed a team of Ahmadi securitymen to observe the activities of the suspect.

After confirming the information and taking necessary legal measures, securitymen arrested the suspect in the villa and confiscated 100 barrels and 200 bottles of locally brewed liquor. When questioned, the suspect confessed that he has been brewing liquor and selling it to his clients in Ahmadi and Farwaniya governorates. He was referred with the confiscated items to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action against him.
