Kuwaiti bedoun held for drugs use Cigarette smuggling foiled

KUWAIT CITY: Jahra securitymen arrested a Kuwaiti and a Bedoun in Naseem for drug consumption and possession of a bag containing shabu, heroin, weighing scale and drug paraphernalia. While patrolling the area, the officers got suspicious after noticing the unusual behavior of two persons inside a vehicle parked in the area. When the officers searched the suspects, they found the abovementioned items and realized the duo were under the influence of drugs. The suspects were referred to the Drug Control General Department.

Customs officers at the Nuwaiseeb border recently foiled the attempt of a GCC citizen to smuggle cartons of cigarettes out of the country, reports Al-Anba daily. The daily added, the cigarettes were confiscated and the passenger was allowed to resume his journey.

Meanwhile, Ahmadi securitymen arrested a Kuwaiti in Fahad Al-Ahmad for performing car stunts, putting “I Challenge You” sticker on his Mustang, and removing the plate number of his vehicle. According to the securitymen, they found the citizen driving recklessly near a roundabout so they chased him and then referred him to the Traffic Department while his vehicle was impounded.
