KUWAIT CITY: The Criminal Court, chaired by Judge Mohammad Ghazi Al-Mutairi, acquitted an Egyptian of smuggling 15,000 Tramadol pills upon arrival at Kuwait International Airport from Suhaj in Egypt.

The case file indicates that the customs officer checked the suspect at the counter but did not detect the drugs in the luggage. The officer noticed the bulging clothes of the suspect, so he inspected him resulting in the discovery of the narcotic pills.

‘Pay ex-wife expenses’: The Personal Status Section at the Court of Appeals ordered a Kuwaiti man to pay KD 3,000 and another KD 1,000 to his ex-wife for expenses. Case files indicate the couple had a child before the divorce.

The plaintiff’s lawyer, Attorney Khalid Al-Failakawi, asked the court to grant his client the right to alimony and the court agreed.
