KUWAIT CITY: Customs officers at Kuwait International Airport foiled an attempt by a Kuwaiti citizen to smuggle heroin and cocaine from an unspecified Asian country. The officers detected illicit drugs while checking the citizen’s baggage upon his arrival at the airport but he claimed the items were merely in capsules of antibiotics.
Later, he admitted smuggling the contraband for trafficking purpose during investigation. He was referred to concerned authorities. Meanwhile, a citizen born in 1991 was arrested in Salwa area by security operatives in possession of hashish stuffed in a piece of cigarette, in addition to shabu and drug tools.
