LONDON: IC testing company King Yuan Electronics (KYEC) has reported consolidated revenues of NT$1.71 billion (US$52.6 million) for May 2016, hitting a monthly record for the third consecutive month. KYEC’s revenues for May 2016 represented increases of 18.8% on year and about 7% sequentially. Revenues totaled NT$57.67 billion for the first five months of 2016, rising 10.3% from a year earlier.

Brisk demand for mobile SoCs, image sensors, MEMS and graphics chips will boost KYEC’s June revenues to another record high, Taiwan’s Central News Agency (CNA) quoted market watchers as saying in a recent report. KYEC’s revenues for the second quarter are set to top NT$5 billion. KYEC’s revenue growth momentum is likely to continue through the third quarter of 2016, thanks to a pull-in of orders for modem chips from a US client, according to the report.
