WASHINGTON: IC testing company King Yuan Electronics Company (KYEC) has reported consolidated revenues of NT$1.8 billion (US$57.3 million) for October 2016, up 23.7% on year. KYEC’s cumulative 2016 revenues through October totaled NT$16.65 billion, rising 16.5% from a year ago.
Solid demand for handset SoCs from China, modem chips from a US client, graphics processors and image sensors led to the brisk revenue results for KYEC in October, according to market watchers. KYEC is expected to see its fourth-quarter revenues drop slightly from the record levels of NT$5.43 billion posted in the prior quarter, said the watchers. KYEC’s revenues for all of 2016 are set to exceed NT$20 billion reaching an annual high, the watchers indicated.
