Lack of merit: Anti-Corruption Gujranwala to reinvestigate 600 cases

SIALKOT: Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) Gujranwala has stopped the implementation of all the inquiries of as many as 600 corruption cases after receiving complaints of corruption against the investigators.

According to the senior ACE officials, the Director ACE Gujranwala Division Shehzad Saeed stopped implementation on the inquiries of above mentioned 600 corruption cases. As the investigation officers of ACE has sent these 600 corruption cases to ACE Directorate Gujranwala after conducting inquiries in which the ACE investigators had recommended registration of cases or non-guilty of the accused.

ACE Director halted further implementation on the inquiries of above mentioned 600 cases after the complaints of corruption by ACE investigators in these corruption cases.

ACE has now formulated special teams to recheck all of these cases single by single to ensure transparent and impartial inquires about all of these 600 corruption cases, in this regard.
