LAHORE: Model Customs Collectorate Preventive has seized large quantity of Indian smuggled tomatoes worth Rs4 million.
On information of Additional Deputy Collector Tayyaba Kayani, the Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) under the supervision of Deputy Collector Muhammad Moazzam Raza and Superintendent ASO Agha Qadeer Haider, in joint operation intercepted three bed ford trucks coming from Azad Kashmir loaded with plastic baskets of tomatoes, value of these smuggled goods is Rs4 millions and value of seized vehicles is Rs3 million. A case has been registered against smugglers and further investigations are under way.
