Lahore DGTR Addl Director Nasreen granted performance allowance

ISLAMABAD: Nasreen Nawaz, a Pakistan Customs Service officer of BS-18 and selected through the process of internal job posting (IJP), has been granted performance allowance.

The officer, presently posted as Additional Director (OPS) at Directorate of Training & Research (Customs), Lahore, has been granted performance allowance (equivalent to 100 per cent of basic pay) with effect from April 25, 2017.

According to the notification, the grant of performance allowance will be governed through the terms and conditions laid down vide Circular No. C.No. 6(96)S(BIC)/2013-14 dated 06.03.2015 and will be discontinued in case prescribed terms and conditions are not fulfilled within one month from the date of issuance of this notification.

Nasreen Nawaz assumed the charge as Additional Director (OPS) of DGTR (Customs), Lahore on August 10, 2016 after relinquishing the charge as Second Secretary at Federal Board of Revenue (HQ), Islamabad on the same date.

Nasreen’s performance allowance was de-notified after imposition of a minor penalty on her under Government Servants (Efficiency & Disciplinary) Rules, 1973 vide Board’s Notification No. 1735-C-II/2016 dated 22.07.2016. The allowance of Nasreen, then posted as Second Secretary at FBR (HQ), Islamabad, was de-notified with effect from July 22, 2016 to January 21, 2017. She had to appear for fresh IJP after January 21 for restoration of the performance allowance.
