Lahore: Excise seizes documents of 170 vehicles during road checking

LAHORE: The Punjab Excise and Taxation Department has seized documents of 170 defaulting vehicles during a crackdown in the City.

According to details, Excise Director Suhail Arshad formed eight special teams to take action against defaulters. Excise Motor Branch formed many checkpoints in the city to keep check on defaulting vehicles. Director Motor Branch Suhail Arshad is very vigilant in this regard and has strictly directed the staff  not to spare any person who was found involved in default.

During road checking on Friday Excise teams checked hundreds of a vehicles and seized documents of 170 vehicles. Most the vehicles were found token tax defaulters while Excise also seized some vehicles as well.

Documents of the defaulting vehicles were seized at Jail Road, Liberty Chowk, Gulberg, Ferozpur Road, Multan Road, Thokar Niaz Baig, Wapda Town, Defense Housing Authority, Band Road, Shahdra and Sagian Bridge.
