Lahore I&I impounds 3 non-customs paid vehicles worth Rs35m

LAHORE: Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation (I&I) team impounded three non-customs vehicles worth Rs35 million.

Sources told Customs Today that Director Customs Intelligence and Investigation Saima Aftab received credible information regarding non-customs paid vehicles plying on different roads of the City.

She directed Additional Director Hasan Farid to take all possible measures to intercept these non-customs paid vehicles. Customs Intelligence and Investigation squad comprising Intelligence Officer Aslam Chaudhary, Intelligence Officer Gulzar Bhatti, Intelligence Officer Aslam Iqbal, Intelligence Officer Aitsham Naveed, Intelligence Officer Muhammad Fazal and Intelligence Officer Nauman Ashraf intercepted one Audi and one Toyota Civic car bearing registration no: AKE 250 from Johar Town and the same squad impounded one Land Cruiser bearing registration no: EK 706 from Sheikhupura Road.

It is necessary to mention here that Director Saima Aftab directed all anti-smuggling squads to adopt zero tolerance policy against non-customs paid vehicles.
