LAHORE: Directorate of Customs Intelligence and Investigation (I&I) team recovered a non-duty paid Ranger Rover worth Rs27.6m from a house located in Punjab Housing Society, College Road, Lahore.
Sources told Customs Today that Director Customs Intelligence and Investigation Saima Aftab received credible information that some non-duty paid vehicle are plying on roads. She immediately constituted a team under the supervision of Superintendent Gulzar Bhatti which also includes, Superintendent Khalid Khan, Intelligence Officer Aslam Chaudhary, Intelligence Officer Adnan Chandia, Intelligence Officer Tipu Sultan and Intelligence Officer Allah Ditta.
The Customs I&I team enhanced checking of the suspicious vehicles. The Customs I&I team raided a house located in Punjab Housing Society, College Road, Lahore. The team asked the owner of the house to produce any lawful documents about Range Rover parked in his house, but the owner of the house failed to produce any lawful documents. Customs I&I team detained the Range Rover and registered a case against the owner of the vehicle. Further investigations in this regard are still underway.
