Lahore I&I recovers smuggled goods worth Rs151m

LAHORE:  In line with the vision of Director-General, Customs Intelligence and Investigation (I&I) Faiz Ahmad Chadhar to nip the menace of smuggling in the bud, the ASO team of Directorate of Intelligence & Investigation-Customs, Regional Office, Lahore conducted successful operations and during successful raids on tip off, seized gigantic quantities of smuggled / non-duty paid goods valuing approximately Rs151 million.

Director Customs Intelligence and Investigation Saima Shahzad told Customs Today that these seized goods involve smuggled / non-duty paid Parachute cloth 19 tons, Joggers / Shoes 13,871 pairs, Paraffin wax 1500 KGs, and Petroleum Jelly 7000 KGs. 03 high end luxury vehicles have also been impounded. The impugned goods and vehicles have been shifted to the warehouses of I&I-Customs.
