Lahore LTU achieves 100% target, collects Rs 18 billion in May, 2015

LAHORE: Federal Board of Revenue’s (FBR) Large Taxpayers Unit (LTU) Lahore has achieved 100 percent of target by collecting Rs 18 billion as taxes in May of current fiscal year 2014-15.

As per details, the FBR had assigned the target of Rs 18 billion for May to LTU Lahore which has been achieved successfully.

On the directions of FBR chairman, the chief commissioner of LTU improved tax recovery system which ultimately helped the department to mark the 100 percent achievement.,

Officials told that LTU was striving to meet the target of current fiscal year by the end of year and in this regard it has adopted effective strategies.

It is important to mention here that there are 370 taxpayers those are registered with LTU Lahore, as only such taxpayers comes in LTU department those pay at least Rs 50 million tax in a year.

The officials said that department was also detecting potential taxpayers fall in the category but not paying taxes by deceiving the department, adding that it was hoped that next year some more taxpayers would be brought in LTU circle.
