RTO-II attaches bank account of Toyota Airport Motors

LAHORE: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Regional Tax Office-II (RTO-II) Lahore attached bank account of Toyota Airport Motors to recover Rs 11 million sales tax but could recover only Rs 683,000 due to low balance.

Sources said that on the instructions of Deputy Commissioner Amna Naeem, the RTO recovery team attached bank accounts of the company and could recover only a meagre amount.

They added that the recovery team was looking for other bank accounts of the alleged company to recover the outstanding amount.

Meanwhile, the zone-IV of RTO-II has arrested owner of Anmol Engineering Works and Al Faisal Exports. Sources said that the two companies were defaulters in sales tax of Rs28 million

They added that the authorities concerned have also put the names of the arrested person in exit control list by imposing ban on their travel to abroad until the recovery of sales tax liabilities.
