ROME: The Italian automaker considered producing some 100 units of the Lamborghini Concept S which will now go up for auction in New York.
You might have seen pictures in many car magazines over the past few years of this unique Lamborghini with its cockpit that neatly separates the driver from the passenger with a split cabin.
According to AutoGuide.com, the 2006 Lamborghini Concept S is going to be auctioned off by RM Sotheby’s this fall.
And with such a rare car, you can expect only those with an extra $2 to $3 million to spare will be bidding on this raging bull.
The original model wasn’t designed to run, but because of the attention it got from fans, Lamborghini decided to make a second, but this time with a 5.0-litre V10 and 520 horsepower underneath the hood.
Because of the high cost associated with building this supercar concept, plans of its production were scrapped.
It won’t come as a surprise if the Concept S won’t sell for more than $3 million due to its rarity and radical design.
