Land Freight Unit at Wagha to shift clearance process over WeBOC from July 1

LAHORE: Customs authorities have decided to finish one customs at Land Freight Unit Wagha Lahore and to shift all clearance process over Web Based One Customs (WeBOC).

New system of clearance will be implemented from  July 1,, 2015 on broader level.

This time only fresh items like fruits and vegetables are being cleared by WeBOC clearance system other items depends on one custom.

Sources told Customs Today that from July 1, 2015 at the start of new fiscal year, Pakistan Customs will shift all of its trade clearance through Wagha Border on WeBOC.

The WeBOC was launched here at Wagha Border in December 2014 to replace it with One Custom, the old software. Authorities at Wagha did not shift all items over WeBOC just to facilitate the traders and agents and shift only one item soya bean.

On other hand, one custom will remain operational until June 30 and it will be totally banned from July 1, sources at Wagha Customs told Customs Today.

This time both software’s are operational in clearance of goods but from the start of new fiscal year new software will over take from the old one.
