LAHORE: Largest freight train of Pakistan Railways has started journey for Lahore from Karachi. This is the largest goods train in history of Pakistan.
According to Pakistan Railways Spokesman, Pakistan Railways special freight train has moved for Lahore loaded with 3450 tons of material on trial base. Engines used for freight train are imported from China, both engines are of 2000 Horse power.
Freight train consists of 40 containers. Pakistan Railways has also imported new tankers to carry oil from Karachi to other parts of the country.
