Larkana business community urged to join tax amnesty scheme

LARKANA: A delegation of Federal Board of Revenue, led by Commissioner (Zone-II, RTO, Sukkur) Abdul Aziz Narejo, has met with the local business community of the city and urged them to join newly-unveiled tax Voluntary Tax Compliance Scheme (VTCS) for the traders.

The representatives and members of Larkana Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Larkana Tax Bar Association held different meetings with Commissioner Abdul Aziz Narejo at Income Tax Office and Larkana Press Club.

The Commissioner gave a comprehensive and detailed presentation on VTCS to all the traders highlighting the salient features of the scheme and its benefits. The participants were informed that the scheme offered a rare and golden opportunity to the traders to become part of the tax net and to do their business with ease and comfort without any fear of being audited for next four years.

It was followed by questions and answers/discussion session in which the participants took active part and made useful suggestions. In addition, banners were affixed in Main Bazar of Larkana. The traders were informed that nine teams have been constituted to guide and facilitate the trading community. The teams will provide relevant material and guidance at the door step. The participants assured their full cooperation and support to make the scheme success.
